Rachel Carter

Voice

In addition to being a voice teacher at PRIMO, Rachel Carter is currently the staff voice and piano instructor in conjunction with Lauderdale Lutherans in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Recently she has been named head music teacher for their after-school program, El Centro. She received her Master of Music degree from Ohio University in 2012. Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts in vocal performance and a certificate in vocal pedagogy from Marietta College in 2009. Rachel began taking piano lessons at a very early age and has taken piano pedagogy classes attended workshops in both piano and vocal pedagogy since 2012. Rachel is comfortable teaching all ages from children to adult.

As a performer, Rachel has been featured in both opera and oratorio performances on stage and in concert. In 2013, She sang the title role of Francesca Da Rimini, with the Russian Opera Workshop in Philadelphia, PA, as well as being featured by Opera Project Columbus singing works of Puccini and Menotti for the Columbus Italian Festival in Ohio. With Opera For Animals Singing is Saving in 2015 Rachel performed scenes from Le Nozze di Figaro, Turandot, Susannah, and My Fair Lady in Sarasota FL. Rachel also has been requested as a guest artist for Abiding Savior Church's concert Sunday events since 2011 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Rachel comes to Vero Beach and to PRIMO after accepting a section leader position with Trinity Episcopal Church in the fall of 2015 and currently sings with the Vero Beach Choral Society.
