Madison Riley
Voice
Madison Riley recently graduated from the Florida State University College of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance. Originally from Kent Island, Maryland, Madison began her classical vocal training at the age of 14 under the instruction of Alyssa Cox. Since then, she has earned recognition in numerous competitions. Her recent accomplishments include being a Finalist in the HighArt Vocal Competition (2025), the 2nd Place Winner of the Sparks and Wiry Cries: Tally SongSLAM Competition (2024), the 1st Place Winner of the Florida Federation of Music Clubs Vocal Scholarship Competition (2024), a Finalist in the Hannah Beaulieu Award in Opera Competition (2023), and a Finalist in the Schmidt Vocal Competition: North Carolina (2021), .
At Florida State University, Madison studied with Marcy Stonikas and performed in a variety of opera productions, including (Ensemble), Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro (Ensemble), Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Ensemble), Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen (Pepík), and Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice (Fury, Summer 2025). She was also an active participant in Florida State Opera’s Outreach Program, performing in local schools throughout Leon County. Her outreach credits include, Abrazo de Oso (Spring 2024), and Mozart’s The Magic Flute (Spring 2025).
Beyond her performance work, Madison was deeply involved in the university’s musical community, serving as Philanthropy Chair for the Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity at Florida State University, where she helped organize service initiatives and performance-based fundraisers supporting music education and community engagement.
Madison has furthered her artistic education through participation in various summer vocal programs, most recently the Dramatic Voices Program Berlin (2025). There, she performed in the Lieder Festival and in the program’s production of Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos, where she studied the role of Zerbinetta and performed as Naiad. Her participation was supported by the Schmidt Vocal Arts Alumni Summer Study Grant and the Sigma Alpha Iota, Inc. Blanche Z. Hoffman Memorial Undergraduate Performance Award in Voice.
Currently based in Vero Beach, Florida, Madison works as a performer and private voice instructor. She will be joining Vero Beach Opera’s upcoming production of Rigoletto as an assistant director and Gilda study cover. Madison is thrilled to take the next steps with her musical career. She is passionate about continuing to grow as a performer and now educator. She hopes to expand her love and knowledge of vocal pedagogy with students of her own.
