Voice
Julia Glunt is a Kansas native, who resides in Vero Beach, Florida. As a recent graduate of Eastern New Mexico University, Julia holds a Bachelors of Music with an emphasis on Vocal Performance. As a performer, Julia possesses an adaptable voice, at home anywhere from coloratura soprano to musical theater and folk singing. She has taken on several roles over her lifetime, including Amahl from Amahl and the Night Visitors, Mayor Matilda Hyde from All Shook Up, Kate McGowan from Titanic: the Musical, Veronique from Le Docteur Miracle, and most recently, Jo March from Little Women.
In addition to being a versatile performer, Julia has a passion for composing music as well. She has written several pieces for choir, small ensemble, and solo voice in various styles and difficulty levels. She loves to take commissions for her works and plans to be an avid songwriting contributor to the community. As a teacher and pedagogue, Julia comes with fresh, mindful, student-led practices that focus on the entire body as an instrument for singing. She guides students to think critically about the functions of their own voices and to find their authentic, individual sounds.
